I am a 26 year old UK national currently working in Germany. I have a question on my tax obligation for returning to the UK. I moved to Germany on the 12th April 2023 to begin a job on the 18th. I resigned from my previous UK job on the 7th April 2023 having worked there for 18 months. I have now accepted a new job in the UK starting on the 2nd April 2024. I am concerned amd quite anxious that I will be deemed a UK national and as such be obligated to pay income tax on my already taxed german income. Please can you help me understand what to expect and any advice you be wonderful.
