Storing personal data in the cloud and sharing it to particular users
I'm a programming student working on an app that will allow people to create and manage their "teams". An important feature is allowing youths to create their accounts. My greatest concern is the consequences of a potential database breach. How can I defend myself in such a scenario, having the data encrypted and stored in a cloud database? Since it's just a hobby project, will I be responsible personally? Also, I want to give the team leaders access to their member's phone numbers, so they contact them/their parents if needed. Is it possible to make it GDPR-compliant? If so, how?
