Steel Export, Tariff, Tax
A 13 percent tariff has been levied on steel exports by the Chinese government since May 1. Is it now acceptable for the Chinese side to demand payment of this tax? 2- If the Chinese party had completed the shipping in accordance with the proforma within the allotted timeframe, it would not have been subject to this tax; however, because he shipped later than expected, he now insists that we pay this tax. The docs won't be sent if not. In order to settle this issue, to what authority should we turn?
