Grand Erect scaffolding on which to mount their tribute to the Queen. There were not enough scaffold ties to hold the scaffold together correctly, but as time was of the essence and it was for a display rather than support, Grand’s site manager, Anton, decided it would be safe providing nobody stood on the scaffold. Signs were put on the tribute warning people to ‘keep off the display’. However, later that evening,two children climbed up on the display and were injured when the scaffold collapsed.
