Obligation of signing employment contract in India
I am employed in India and I did not sign an employment contract. Is it possible for the employer as a way to deny my employee's statutory rights, for example, to not allow them to take their annual leave?

A letter of Employment is an Contract in which Rights and obligations etc will be clearly stated.A Lawful offer by an Employer for a Fixed Consideration and Acceptance of such offer by the Employee on Signing of the letter of Employment binds both Employer and Employee to oblige the terms and conditions of employment.

First of all, there is no mandate in India that the contract must be in writing. As a proof you can show your appointment letter or any email or message.Second , if he refuses he must give a good reason.
