Non compete
Can I join a new employer (not direct competitors but same business nature)? I have signed non-compete with current employer. The non-compete mentioned I cannot join competitors for 6 months post termination. They have listed 6 main competitors. The new employer is not under this 6 competitors listed in non compete.

In Malaysia, you can join a competitor provided you are not utilising specific knowledge gained from your current employer.

No you cant,they listed the main competitors but there are still general clauses in the agreement restricting you from joining such employers
