It is unclear from the information provided what the actual legal question is. In any event - insofar as laws pertaining to marriage, marital property and dissolution of marriage vary from state to state (and since I am neither a MD lawyer nor a divorce lawyer) you would be best served with seeking out a lawyer from MD and versed in the area you are interested in.
