Legality of replacing manufacturer's labels while repairing equipment
Let's say I rebuild water pumps for commercial purposes. My business consists of buying used pumps, replacing all the wearable components and thoroughly testing them, then selling them as refurbished with a warranty. In this instance, if I wish to replace damaged or worn data plates/manufacturer information stickers, could I legally produce identical stickers and use them on the units, and still sell them as it is made by the original manufacturer?
