As a lawyer, I need to see the notices/summons served on you by your landlord's lawyer so that I can advice you appropriately!

A yearly tenancy has a 6 months notice period to vacate a premises. Since you are a yearly Tenant, the landlord is required by law to issue you a 6 months notice failure to do so will render your eviction illegal in the sight of the Law. You need not be afraid. The court will not serve any court papers when it's not satisfied that the landlord has complied with the necessary provisions of the law.

A yearly tenant is entitled to 6 months notice to quit , and ehe 6 months must be within the period is still on not afterwards, however if you are in Lagos state and your rent has expired, the landlord is required to give you three months after the expiration of your rent. Kindly confirm what is the duration of your rent ie when did your rent starts and end Secondly when was the three months giving to you , is it during the rent or after the rent has expired. Kindly provide this follow up question and for clarity and proper advice from me . Thank you

If you are a yearly tenant, you are entitled to 6 months Notice to quite as long as you have not been in arrears for more than 6 months. If you have been in arrears for more than 6 months, then there is the need to quickly deal with this reaching out. The Court papers will arrive anytime from the landlord now

For a yearly tenant, the notice period is usually six (6) months. The tenant is entitled to receive 6 months notice from the landlord.
