Is it possible to send them to jail
I have ordered a retro gaming console from a website via cash on delivery. The product price was 1700 rs on sale and its selling price is rs 9000 on Amazon. The price was unbelievable but they delivered it. I paid them rs 1700 and then the delivery boy went away. Then I opened the the parcel and found that they scammed me by delivering a cheap kids gaming of rs 50. I feel so scammed and want to take a legal action against website. All I know is name of website and email address. I don't have their physical address. Is it possible to take a legal action against them and if possible what is the percentage of me sending them to jail?

Therefore, any cybercrime cell can be approached. Alternatively, you can file an online fraud complaint at https://cybercrime.gov.in/. There is also the option of calling them at the dedicated cybercrime hotline number (155260) on a business day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Registered users can lodge a complaint online with the National Consumer Helpline portal of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. Users need to register themselves with the portal to file or lodge their complaints online. One can also check the status of already filed complaints. This helps citizens to report cyber financial frauds on National Helpline number 1930. 1930 National Helpline number is running in all States/UTs.

I am a cyber lawyer specialised in cyber frauds and criminal matters. I had recently helped a client who had got the wrong product delivered by Flipkart. I successfully helped him replaced the product and took legal action against them for claiming compensation and damages. To answer your question, yes it is possible to take legal action against them and again the percentage depends on the type of case or documents available for proof. If you wish to discuss the matter in detail, contact me at +91 8153999386.
