International Protection in brief according to Turkish law - refugee situation
Due to the events taking place in European countries; A foreigner who is outside the country of his/her nationality because of a well-founded fear of being persecuted because of his/her race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion and who is unable or unwilling to benefit from the protection of this country due to such fear, or outside the country of residence where he/she previously lived as a result of such events. It refers to the status granted after the status determination procedures to a stateless person who is found, unable to return there, or does not want to return due to the fear in question. The definition of "refugee" defined in Article 61 of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection dated 04/04/2013 and numbered 6458 can also include foreigners who come from the Council of Europe member countries and request international protection from our country.

Article 1 of the 1951 Refugees Convention as ratified by the 1967 Protocol gave a broad definition of Refugees. People whose situations answers to that description should be allowed to enjoy that status and its attendant legal rights!
