Information seeking
In 1967 I enrolled in the Canadian forces. I experienced difficulties and was eventually released in 1970. Recently I requested my service records and found to my surprise that I did very poorly in the selection process. I was listed as a “doubtful” candidate that was psychologically damaged. On the rating scale of the 5 areas examined I only achieved a score of 4 out of 9. They accepted me anyway. After 2.5 yrs of discipline and authority issues, I was deemed not suitable for further service. The time in service damaged me further in that I have seen diagnosed as having PTSD attributable to the service. My question, do I have any recourse against the Canadian forces allowing me to join when their own psychological testing identify me as a problem candidate. Thank you
