How do will holders discover the will-maker has died in the UK?
If I lodge a will with a legal representative in one part of the country or another country, and years later I pass away; how does/should/will the legal representative know that I am deceased and that the will should be executed?
Country
  • United Kingdom

You have two ways, first of all you need to register your will with National will register - upon their death if anyone applies to probate to administer their estate this will alert the uk probate services and will provide details of whom holding a copy of will or who is executor on the will. Another safe method is to ensure executors keep a copy of valid will documents. https://www.nationalwillregister.co.uk/willregister/willregister.aspx
