According to Law 4251/2014 article 15, an invitation of the employer is firstly required. This first step requires that the potential employer has the ability to provide work to the farmer , depending on the land that he owns and his income. Also there is a fee of 200 euros . The regional department of Aliens will first accept the employer' s application to invite a specific Third Country Citizen and then the foreigner will apply for the residence permit. More specifically :

Application form
Four (4) recent colour photographs in physical form with the same technical standards currently in force as passport photographs, as well as in digital form, in an optical storage disc (CD) in JPEG 2000 graphic format.
A certified copy of a valid passport or travel document recognized by our country, with a valid, where appropriate, entry visa.
A fee amounting to the printing costs of the residence permit in the form of a standalone document, amounting to 16 Euro.
A fee in the form of an electronic fee in accordance with provisions of Article 132 of Law 4251/2014 and of Article 38 of Law 4546/2018 (101 A), where appropriate.
A certificate stating that an application has been submitted to the relevant insurance body for the purpose of covering expenses of hospital treatment, healthcare and accident at work.
A certified copy of the dependent employment contract with the authenticated signature of the employer by a public service where it is stated that the remuneration of the employee is the same as the monthly remuneration of the unskilled worker, as defined in the National Collective Employment contract concerned or a solemn declaration of the employer with employer’s authenticated signature by a public service, where it is stated that the remuneration of the employee is the same as the monthly remuneration of the unskilled worker, as defined in the National Collective Employment contract.
