Does addressee of lost in post item violate the privity of contract between sender and post?
Alice, living in country A, sold an item to Bob, living in country B. She sent the item using Post, with no insurance. The item arrived in B but got lost in B Post. Bob approached B Post but was told that the sender should file a claim with A Post. Could Bob claim to be a party to collateral contract here and sue the Post for missing the item?
