My mom died the beginning of this month and she lived in an apartment. Therefore her stuff is her apartment is of very little value less than 5k and we plan to donate it all.
I call probate today and was told that since we have access to her apartment we don't need to go through them to begin to go through her stuff as we are also faced with having to pay her rent which we don't have the funds to do.
We ready know we need to go through probate for her bank account and vehicle
So I'm just wondering if the first part is correct
