Cyber harrassment
The meeting times are tricky because of the time zone I am in but essentially I am seeking a cease and desist type order against someone who is harassing me online (including sending letters that contain humiliating and very personal information and allegations to my former employer and members of my professional organization). I understand that I would likely send them a final demand type letter in the first instance but I would like some advice on the legal "teeth" I may have to support such a demand.

I'm really sorry to hear you're going through this. Dealing with cyber harassment is tough. In situations like this, a cease and desist letter is a good initial step. The legal weight behind it often depends on the specific laws in your jurisdiction, and consulting with a lawyer would be beneficial. They can guide you on the applicable laws and potential legal actions, like restraining orders or defamation claims, to add more "teeth" to your case. If you need any support or guidance through this process, feel free to ask.
