In jurisdictions where surrogacy contracts are regulated:
Can a surrogate mother keep legal parenthood over her child if she changes her mind?
What are the legal consequences? Is she obligated to compensate the surrogate parents?
I'm assuming that these vary across jurisdictions, thus I'm mainly searching for responses summarising several cases of jurisdictions around the world.
