I am getting a divorce from a German citizen I am British. We are settling out of court for accrued gains. I am entitled to a portion of his pension and I have filled in the pension equalisation form given to me by the German family court. However my spouse has said that when he retires I will not receive any payment as I have never worked in Germany and I do not have a German state pension myself. This is because it's worked out on a points system and it involves the transfer of points from his pension pot to mine. So is it possible to get round this?
