I have recently been a victim of sextortion at the hands of someone who I matched with on bumble pretending to be from Leicester and actually turning out to be from Philippines.
They screen recorded the what's app video call and blackmailed me. I lost 1k before blocking them and I live in fear everyday of them uploading that video on social media or sending it to my friends and relatives.
I want to ask whether it is possible to sue what's app for invasion of privacy as they claim end to end encryption?
How can people screen record a what's app video call?
I don't know if this sounds stupid but I have to ask and I have no money to give anyone.
