August 2024

The Legal Mentorship Program, is proud to announce a groundbreaking initiative aimed at nurturing the business development skills and career growth of fresh Iranian law graduates. This newly launched mentorship program is designed to empower and guide young Iranian legal professionals in expanding their expertise in client engagement and business growth strategies.

Leveraging the power of top Iranian diaspora legal talents from around the globe, this program connects fresh law graduates with mentors who have first-hand experience in the international legal industry. These mentors will provide invaluable insights and guidance to enlighten the minds of Iranian law graduates.

Recognizing the importance of business development acumen in today’s competitive legal landscape, our program offers a structured platform for diaspora professionals to mentor and support their junior counterparts. By doing so, we aim to facilitate the professional development of Iranian fresh law graduates and prepare them for global challenges.

The mentorship program will focus on a wide range of essential skills and knowledge, including:

  • CV writing
  • Digital skills
  • Legal tech industry insights
  • Client relationship management
  • Effective communication

Junior lawyers and law graduates will have the opportunity to learn from experienced mentors who have successfully navigated the intricacies of legal business development. Additionally, mentees will have the chance to present their ideas on how they envision the future of legal service delivery.

This commitment to mentorship underscores our dedication to fostering a supportive and learning-oriented culture within the community. By creating an environment where junior lawyers can refine their business development skills, we hope to build a stronger foundation for future success. It is anticipated that this investment in professional development will not only benefit junior lawyers but will also enhance the capabilities of the mentors.

Atieh Ghaemi  at LegaMart , expressed enthusiasm for this initiative, stating, “We believe that investing in the development of junior lawyers is not only beneficial for them personally but also essential for the growth of the Iranian legal community. Our experienced diaspora professionals have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share, and this mentorship program will provide a structured framework for that knowledge transfer. By connecting junior lawyers with global experts, we hope to give them a significant boost in their professional development.”

Milad Gazerani, an LLM graduate from Queen Mary University who works closely with this volunteer initiative, says: “Our goal is to create a dynamic exchange of knowledge and experience that benefits both emerging lawyers and established professionals. By connecting these two groups, we’re not just enhancing individual careers—we’re contributing to the overall advancement of Iran’s legal sector.”
