About me

Shiraz is a very successful and internationally experienced Level 3 OISC Accredited Immigration & Human Rights Lawyer and specialist in UK Corporate Immigration (Tier 1 & 2). He has a passion for immigration which is second to none. He himself was a victim of apartheid deportation by the South African Authorities from South Africa between 1971 and 1974. The South African Apartheid government refused him entry to the country, and on 5 occasions returned him to the UK. Of mixed heritage (Irish Mother and South African (Indian) father – and under the group areas act of South Africa he was not allowed to live in the white areas of the country nor was he allowed to live in the non-white areas). His own personal experiences motivated him eventually to specialise in Immigration and Human Rights Law and for the past 17 years he now runs the very successful Peer and Co Immigration firm with his wife Samreen Sayed-Peer, also a Senior Partner at Peer & Co. Since 2005 he has established his firms respect from the Judiciary in the Immigration Courts, within the Home Office, and as a champion of cultural diversity. He has extensive contacts within the Immigration and Emigration fraternity in the UK and Internationally, which allows him to offer a full BESPOKE service to each of his Private Clients, Business Clients and High Net Worth clients. He is very experienced in providing legal advice to a diversity of individuals across the globe, with extensive expertise with Afro-Caribbean, Asian and European clientele. Shiraz’s advocacy experience spans both the Upper Tribunal and the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal. He possesses an excellent case track record having to date won over 90% of cases, 2 of which have been reported. As a net result, he has a developed a loyal client base of almost 4,500 individuals. Shiraz further extended his outreach as an immigration lawyer through the medium of television and community events. his firm regularly holds community events all across the UK. He has comprehensive knowledge of immigration rules, the Human Rights Act and the European Convention on Human Rights in the assessment and completion of cases.
