Mgr. Michal Príkopa graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Pan-European University in Bratislava While studying there, he interned for one year at the Chancellery of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, working in the Department of Legislation and Approximation of Laws. He began to take a particular interest in immigration law when he was an Erasmus+ exchange student at Cergy-Pointoise University in France. Upon returning to Slovakia, he joined Deloitte Legal s.r.o. as a paralegal responsible for immigration law and remained at the international law firm until he graduated in 2016. After graduating, Michal started working as a trainee lawyer at Bužek & Terem advokáti s.r.o., primarily in general legal issues, focusing particularly on civil, commercial, and administrative as well as real estate law. At the law firm, he took international courses in US law at the John Marshall Law School.
