He has experience of fast paced expansion, acquisitions in various jurisdictions and finding solutions during challenging economic periods. He worked at DHSC on various matters and policies, including leading on the development of the NHS Standard Contract for over 3 years and assisted with the drafting of certain sections of the HSCA 2012. During 2019 He was also the General Counsel of the Expert Group that developed the Medical Practitioners Assurance Framework, a framework to improve consistency around effective clinical governance for medical practitioners across the independent sector and raise the bar for medical leadership. Mr Mehdi Erfan has led on the negotiation and drafting of a historical arrangement between NHS England and the private providers in response to Covid-19. He acted for all the hospital providers involved with the contracts.
