She is a dual-qualified lawyer, licensed to practice law in the Philippines and the State of New York. She has a total of 10 years Post Qualification Experience and is currently working as a Regulatory and Compliance Lawyer with a Philippine-based MNC in the FMCG Industry (until Feb2022) and has previously advised multinational and publicly listed Companies in other highly regulated industries such as pharma, media, advertising, and energy. Compliance can be costly, but non-compliance carries not just financial costs but reputational damage as well. As a Lawyer, she personally takes her role not just as a Compliance Advocate but, more importantly, as a Risk Manager. To achieve this requires a balance of compliance with strategic and commercial objectives. While she was taking her JD from the University of the Philippines, she was working full time as business development lead for the Philippine Sales Team of a Learning Management System (LMS) and Online Training Company. During this time, she also co-founded a non-profit start-up. She was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2012. In the same year, she took the New York State Bar while working full time as a Junior Associate in a SE Asia IP firm, passed in 2012 and took the oath as an Attorney in the State of New York in 2014.
