PortugalDiogo Pereira Coelho is a Founding Partner of Sypar and a lawyer, focusing his activity on the following areas: ● IT, TMT & Digital Law (FinTech, DeFi, Web3, DLT, DAO, Tokenization, Crypto-Assets, NFT, CBDC, Metaverse, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, etc.); ● Tax Law (TaxTech, FinTax, Cryptotaxation, NHR, etc.); ● Criminal Law (Cybercrime, FinCrime, International Asset Recovery, etc.); ● Administrative Offences Law, Regulation & Compliance (RegTech, AML, etc.). Prior to this professional experiences, he has worked as a Business Implementation Manager at BNP Paribas (2017-2018), as a Lecturer in the Legal Services Technician Professional Course (2018-2022), taught by the Institute for Social Development (IDS), and as an Associate Lawyer at Carlos Pinto de Abreu e Associados (2018-2022). Regarding his academic experience, he has a degree in Law & a Master's in Corporate Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, and he is currently a PhD student in Law and Taxation, at the University of Seville (EIDUS). He holds postgraduate studies in Company Law, Tax Law, Criminal Law, Administrative Offenses Law, Regulation & Compliance, all respectively completed at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (CIDP, IDEFF & IDPCC) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (IDPEE). He also holds the Certificate of Pedagogical Competences (CPP) and E-Trainer Certificate, both certified by the Institute Employment and Professional Training (IEFP). Also noteworthy is the associative experience, namely as an Associate of Associação Nacional de Jovens Advogados Portugueses and Associação Profissional de Formadores, as a Member of the European Criminal Bar Association, the European Fraud and Compliance Lawyers, the International Blockchain Association, the European AI Alliance and the Legal Experts Advisory Panel of FairTrials, as an Effective Associate of Forum Penal, as a Fellow of the Digital Euro Association and the European Carbon Offset Tokenization Association, & as Ambassador of Blockchain Industry Group. He is fluent in Portuguese, has full command of German, advanced knowledge of English, intermediate knowledge of Spanish, and basic knowledge of French & Italian. In his free time he appreciates his early morning beach run and workout routine, and also traveling, visiting ancient monuments, enjoying nature, as well as reading about psychology, philosophy, history, archaeology, anthropology, mythology, theology, astronomy, physics, biology, sociology, economics, & politics.
