So, my name is Catarina Isabel Costa Rocha, and I am 27 years old. I was born in Macau, hold dual Portuguese and Angolan nationality, and due to my father's job, my academic journey was quite international for a long time. As a result, I have lived in Macau, Barbados in the Caribbean, Luanda in Angola, and then around the age of 15, I moved to Portugal. Later in 2018, I went to study in Brazil. I am deeply passionate about working, evolving, and continuously acquiring more knowledge. Indeed, I also value the balance between professional and personal life, immersing myself in reading on a variety of topics, such as psychology. One work I really admire is "12 Rules for Life" by psychologist Jordan Peterson. In addition, I have a passion for engaging in sports, cooking, fashion, and art. I cherish moments spent with loved ones and have a deep enthusiasm for traveling and experiencing other cultures. Furthermore, I am a huge fan of management and technology, always seeking ways to make work more efficient. Regarding my professional journey, I am a lawyer with a Bachelor's degree in Law, a Master's degree in Criminal Law, and a postgraduate qualification in Intellectual Property. My background, enriched by professional experience in Criminal, Intellectual Property, Civil, Family, and Immigration Law, among others, along with additional training in project management and business analysis, provides me with a diverse and strong foundation. My training at an international law firm, under the auspices of the Bar Association, has honed my abilities in time management, working under high pressure, and adhering to the highest legal standards—skills crucial for navigating the complexities of diverse legal environments. My internship, which spanned two years, was highly rotational, allowing me to gain experience across the areas I mentioned. My adaptation to conducting extensive research to address the queries presented enabled me to explore new fields and find answers. This approach allowed me to tackle various legal issues that required clarification in many areas of law, not just nationally but also internationally, given the global scope of the law firm where I interned. Indeed, I am a person who does not like to feel stagnant, and I always seek to acquire new knowledge, highlighting areas of interest such as: Law and Technology; Personal Data Protection and Cybersecurity; Intellectual and industrial property; Immigration; Pharmaceutical; Real estate and tourism; Consumer; Criminal and Administrative Offenses; Civil and Family Law. My unique journey has endowed me with a rich cultural perspective and a profound dedication to the legal profession. This combination of personal experience and professional expertise uniquely positions me to offer clients insightful, customized legal advice across a wide range of issues, ensuring their needs are addressed with the highest level of professionalism and care.
